Interior Assy

It's probably worth at this point reminding you what the interior looked like before the restoration.  Since then I have removed many of the small brackets, a full cage has been welded in and the whole interior sprayed satin black.

Now it's time to install the headlining, a job that I have been putting of for some time because of the perceived difficulty.

It turns out that it was not really that difficult, despite the presence of the cage.  Just get the 4 bows installed in the correct sock, then stretch, glue and clip the front, then the sides, then the back and pillars. Cut the holes for the interior lights and the job is done

The perlon lightweight carpet was sourced from Robert Breshears in the USA. There were no instructions but by spreading the carpet pieces around the interior it soon becomes obvious where each part goes, but it's not very obvious in which order they are installed.

I used EVOSTICK impact adhesive on both the headling, carpets and rubber seals.

There is an excellent description of the installation on Jon & Daphne's Porsche Project pages

It took about 3 hours to install the headling and 4 hours to install the carpet
