6 x 15” Fuchs were fitted on 911s from 1969 onwards. The first was the so called “Deep Six”, designed to fitted with a tube and has no safety hump to prevent the tyre coming off the rim in the case of a puncture

Identified by the deep rim upstand, about 42mm, and the web on the back face and no hump
Intially the deep six has a curve in the cutout by the valve. This is known as the “heart” deep six.
The later deep six doesn’t have this feature and is known as the “non-heart” deep six
The “flat six” (below)was introduced in March 1971, was fitted to some 1971 model year 2.2 911 and all 2.4 and later 911s. The flat six has the hump so is a tubeless design.
