Early 911 specialise in full, bare metal, restorations.  Virtually any 911 can be returned to the condition that it left the showroom. We use exactly the same processes that the Porsche Classic workshops use (thanks to Porsche for their models)

The first step in any restoration is to disassemble the car, removing the interior, trim, engine and gearbox, suspension, wiring loom and glass. The shell is then stripped by pyrolisis to remove all paint, sealer and body filler. the metal is thencleaned to remove any corrosion and debris. After inspection to determine the amount of restoration work required the shell may immediately be electrolitically etched with phosphoric paint (Ecoated) or returned to the Early 911 workshops for repair work before the Ecoating process is completed.

We always use original factory parts when available and if we cannot source original parts, we use the best quality reproduction and restored parts.

The shell is stripped bare.  All the mechanical parts, wiring, trim and glass are removed and sent off to be plated, powder-coated and refurbished as necessary

The shell is stripped of all its paint and underseal, then dipped in an alkaline solution to dissolve all the corrosion.

The bare shell is now restored using genuine Porsche panels where available, or custom made repair panels.

The shell is fitted up to ensure correct panel gaps and fit and finish

The shell is stripped to its component parts again and Ecoated to ensure complete coverage and corrosion protection
