Amazingly the cases have been boat tailed in the past!

All the internal parts proved to be in perfect condition including the valve guides, piston rings and bearings.  The rebuild will consist of new bearings as a precaution, a good clean and careful reassembly. The gearbox is getting a check over, and will get new dogs on 1st and 2nd as a matter of course.
